You're absolutely right. One of the most important steps to prevent aggressive dog behavior, especially towards family members, is to make your dog aware that you are the boss, not him.

You're absolutely right. It is very important to investigate why your dog is barking, as many times dogs bark when they're in pain or feeling ill.

You're right. There are many different types of aggressive dog behavior which, in turn, require different forms of treatment. The first step to correcting aggressive dogs is to identify what kind of aggression they're displaying.

I agree. You must never punish your dog by hitting or abusing him. This type of punishment will only make things worse, and your dog may become even more aggressive.

All dogs have aggressive tendencies. As dogs evolved, those that were aggressive were able to protect themselves, and they were the ones that survived. Although the trait of aggression is ingrained in a dog's brain, it is every dog owner's responsibility to stop aggressive dog behavior before it gets out of control. I agree, it is very sad when something like this happens, as it could have been prevented.

Sometimes puppies or dogs whine because it has become a habit. A stuffed kong toy can help occupy their time.
